The Old Army Press has been publishing the best in American western military history since 1968. With authors such as Robert M. Utley, Robert Murray, Don Rickey, John S. Gray, Herbert Hart, John S. DuMont, Fairfax Downey and titles such as Centennial Campaign, $10 Horse, $40 Dollar Saddle, Military Posts of Wyoming, Military Posts of Montana, Custer Battleguns, Reno Court of Inquiry, Men With Custer, and Tour Guide to Old Western Forts, we’ve chronicled the West from Texas to Montana, from Nebraska to California.
In 1981, the Old Army Press pioneered western military history videotapes. Our video titles include A Good Day to Die, Fort Laramie: Crossroads of the West, Fort Phil Kearny: Hated Post on the Little Piney, Buffalo Bill’s Wild West Show, West to Santa Fe, Forts of the Santa Fe Trail, and Buffalo Soldiers West. Many of these titles are Telly Award winners, with A Good Day to Die being a double Classic Telly winner, which was awarded to the best videotapes of the last twenty years.
Continuing our lead in producing western military history, the Old Army Press now produces many of our titles on DVD.
